We collect your personal information when you choose to provide it to us in connection with your use of our websites or apps. For example, if you schedule a demo or submit a support request, we will ask you for personal information relevant to such requests, such as your name, zip code or location, the dealership you work for or represent, your email and phone number, and any details regarding your request.
Information We Automatically Collect
We use your information to provide our services to you, such as responding to your request for a demonstration of our services or assisting you with any support request, and to share with you other services we think you may be interested in. We may use the information we gather regarding your use of our websites or apps research, develop, manage, protect and improve our websites, apps or services.
We may disclose your information to our affiliates and partners in the provision of our services, to protect the security and integrity of our website and mobile applications, to correct technical problems and malfunctions on our website, mobile applications or software, to technically process your information, or to take precautions against liability. We also may provide your information to vendors who provide services on our behalf, to your company or organization if you use our services under a corporate or other commercial account, or to debt collection agencies if you fail to pay monies owed to us.
Our website and apps are intended for a general audience and were not designed for children, and we are not responsible for any access or use of our services by children. If you are under 18, you may use our websites and apps only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
If you are a California resident, you may have additional privacy rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) and other California privacy laws. DX1 provides dealer management systems and other solutions to a variety of powersports dealers. As a service provider to those dealers, we only collect and use personal information of each dealer’s customers as authorized by the dealer in our written contract for the services provided. If you are a customer of one or more of our dealers and would like to exercise your privacy rights under the CCPA, please contact the dealership(s) with whom you have relationships. The dealership can verify your identify and assist you with processing your privacy request.
Do Not Track
Some browsers incorporate a “Do Not Track” (DNT) feature that, when turned on, signals to websites and online services that you do not want to be tracked. Because there is not yet an accepted standard for how to respond to a DNT signal, we do not currently respond to DNT signals on our websites.
We have in place what we believe to be commercially reasonable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and help prevent unauthorized access of, maintain data security for and correctly use the personal information you have provided or that we otherwise collect through our services. However, while such efforts are intended to ensure the confidentiality of your personal information available to us as a result of your use of the services, we cannot and do not warrant or guarantee the absolute safety and security of your personal information. It is important for you to follow standard privacy protection practices, such as securing any username and passwords, changing your passwords often and selecting strong passwords that include a combination of letters and numbers, and generally protecting against unauthorized access to your computer, mobile device and any access credentials.
If you become a member of our website, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your device, and you agree to and accept sole responsibility for any and all activities that occur under your account or password. You also agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or password, or any other breach of security.
DX1 is based in the United States and the information we collect is governed primarily by U.S. law. Where we are subject to the privacy laws of other countries, we comply with those requirements. If you access or use our services or provide information to us, your information will be processed and stored in the United States, where you may not have the same rights and protections as you do under your local law.
From time to time, we may update this policy to reflect changes in our products or services, technology, and uses of data. If we make a change to this policy that reduces your rights or significantly changes the way we use or share your data, we will notify you via email to the email address you have provided to us (for example, in connection with setting up an account) or via a banner or similar display on our website and apps. If you object to any of the changes we make, your choice is to stop using our website and/or apps. Your continued use of our websites or apps after such changes are posted will be deemed to constitute your agreement to and acceptance of such changes.
