Our partnership with the Motorcycle Industry Council’s (MIC) BankCard Program is creating opportunities for all dealers to affect change in the powersports industry, more specifically their local communities. MIC members play a vital role in maintaining the health of the powersports industry and ensuring that motorcycle enthusiasts' best interests are protected.
DX1 feels strongly about the contributions the MIC is making towards the growth and improvement of our industry. We are proud to help fund their lobbying efforts and support public land access initiatives. Sometimes initiatives pass that can have unfortunate and devastating impact on riders, dealerships and our industry as a whole. It is so important that the powersports industry be well informed, well represented and well funded.
I spoke with Matt Tanzy, President of MIC’s BankCard Program. We discussed many MIC initiatives, but here is one that Matt spoke to me about. Matt said, “We’re currently working to protect more than 18 million acres of land that off highway enthusiasts have access to. If we don’t make our voices heard, 18 million acres of beautiful riding trails are in jeopardy. We need to stick together to ensure future generations can enjoy this lifestyle we’ve all worked so hard to create.”
DX1 customers utilizing the MIC’s BankCard Program for credit card processing will receive rates competitive with the lowest in the industry and join DX1 in supporting Land Use initiatives and other legislative efforts to promote and protect the powerpsorts industry. Through this program, Visa and MasterCard contribute 10% of their revenue towards these critical industry efforts. DX1 customers will receive free MIC membership, along with access to exclusive industry reports and invitations to MIC events. We’ll work with all program participants to ensure they have EMV chip card compliant terminals that provide added security for their dealerships.
